Was born on August 29th, 1939, in Manaus - Amazon - Brazil.

He studied Painting at The National College of Fine Arts (1956 to 1960) and Engraving at the Modern Art Museum (1963 - 1964).

He work as caricaturist, cartoonist and painter.

He began in PASQUIM newspaper and used to collaborate in several newspapers and magazines:
O GLOBO - JORNAL DO COMÉRCIO - STATUS - MAD

His comics were published in several newspapers and magazines.

He also work as illustrator for several publishers / editors.

During the military regime (1964 - 1984) he was censured and prosecuted (Law of National Security) for publishing charges against the dictatorship.
